The Furness Tradition Festival takes place from the 10th to the 13th of July 2008
Workshops
Ukulele - Graeme Gass will be running a series of two workshops for beginner/aspiring ukulele players. Graeme will be supplying instruments if you don't have a uke of your own. The workshops will be on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 11am - Sunday's will develop from the work started on Saturday.

West Gallery Choir - Manuscript copies of early church music from Coniston and Rampside have recently come to light. Paul Guppy has long run successful West Gallery choirs in the Lancaster area and has recently presented a day of workshops on the local manuscripts in Coniston. We have asked Paul to offer some of this material in the form of a singing workshop here. The workshop will be on Sunday at 11am

Cumbrian Fiddle Styles - will be presented by Carolyn Francis on Sunday at 11am

The Lancers - The Lancers was an extremely popular dance here in Ulverston - it has somehow managed to cling to life in the Bush Dance halls of Australia so out Australian guests Wongawilli Dance Band will be offering a workshop bringing this fine dance home!! The Lancers workshop will be in the Coronation Hall on Saturday afternoon at 3.30pm.

Harp Forum - AnnaKate Pearson will be leading an introduction to harps forum, in particular the
clarsach or folk harp. There will be the opportunity to try out a harp, courtesy of Harps NW.
The forum starts at 11am.
